From under 1,000 subscribers to the #1 podcast in Follio’s niche

1M+ views, 5,000+ leads, and the #1 spot in their niche, in under 5 months.

How Follio Podcast went from under 1K subscribers to #1 in their niche.

The content was there, but the growth wasn’t. We changed how every episode was edited, packaged, and structured based on data and the audience loved it….

01. The Before

The Follio Property Podcast had what most podcasts never figure out: genuinely good conversations. Sharp guests, real insight, content worth listening to.
But the show was stuck under 1,000 subscribers, not because of the content, but because of everything wrapped around it. Episodes opened slow, with no hook to pull anyone in. The recordings ran long and unstructured, rambling before they ever reached the good part. And the thumbnails and titles buried strong episodes instead of getting more views.
Great content, invisible packaging. The growth ceiling wasn’t the content, it was the post-production.

02. What we changed

We onboarded The Follio Property Podcast and rebuilt the show end to end: editing, thumbnails, topics, and titles.

We engineered a hook out of their own best moments.

Instead of opening with a slow intro, we pulled the sharpest segments and lines on the topics their audience cared about most, and stitched them together seamlessly into an opening that hits from the first second to the end.

The strongest moments of the episode now happen immediately, which increased retention by 40%.

We restructured every episode around what the audience actually wanted.

A raw recording follows the order the conversation happened in. We re-cut most episodes around the most-requested topics first, so the structure serves the listener instead of the recording.

Every episode is built around a custom framework for their specific audience. And the results speak for themselves.

We fixed the packaging that was burying good episodes.

New thumbnails and titles were built, based on intensive research to actually get the most clicks, so the episodes that deserved attention finally got in front of the right audience.

We also created 3 variations of the thumbnails and titles for each episode for A/B testing.

03. See it for yourself

The show didn’t slowly climb. It took off. In under 5 months, The Follio Property Podcast went from under 1,000 subscribers to the #1 ranked property podcast in Australia.

You guys are doing a really great job with uplifting the editing quality of the intros and your thumbnail plus title strategy has shown great success too.

Why most podcasts couldn’t grow

How we fix it

In the first 30 seconds, your listener decides whether to stay or not. And so does the algorithm. If an episode has too many early exits, the platform quietly stops recommending the episode to new viewers.

Most shows that plateau aren’t losing on content. They’re losing in three specific places before the episode ever gets a real shot.

The hook doesn't earn the watch
The hook doesn't earn the watch

Most episodes open with pleasantries, slow intros, or context-setting, while the best moment sits buried in the podcast body. The listener's gone before they ever reach it. We do the opposite: we pull the sharpest segments on the topics your audience actually wants, and connect them into an opening that hooks them till the end.

The edit doesn't hold them

A strong hook means nothing if the middle drags. Long unstructured stretches, dead air, unpolished audio, that's where retention quietly bleeds out. We edit for momentum the whole way through, and restructure each episode around your audience's most-requested topics, so the order serves the listener instead of following the raw recording.

The packaging fails to pull the audience

Even a perfectly edited episode fails if the thumbnail and title don't pull the right audience in. Weak packaging buries strong episodes. Through intensive research on the audience, competitors and brand itself, we build thumbnails and titles that grab the attention of the targeted audience.

Questions podcast creators ask before booking

Every show is different a creator dropping one episode a week needs something different from someone publishing three. So instead of a flat rate that's wrong for most, we put together a clear quote once we understand your volume, episode length, and goals. You'll know exactly what you're getting into before you commit to anything in our FREE audit call.

No honest team can promise you a specific number. Your content, your niche, and the algorithm all have a say. What we can point to is the process that took Follio Property Podcast from under 1,000 subscribers to the #1 property podcast in Australia in under 5 months. We control the edit, the hook, the structure, the thumbnails, titles and workflow as well. That's what we obsess over. The results follow from getting those right.

Most episodes are delivered within 2 to 7 days of receiving your recording, depending on length and complexity. We'll lock in a turnaround during onboarding that fits your release schedule, so you're never holding a publish date waiting on us.

Two rounds of revisions come standard on every episode. And because we map out your style, references, and red flags before we touch a single clip, the first cut is usually close. You won't be starting from scratch on round two.

That's the whole point of onboarding. Before we edit anything, you walk us through your inspiration, the podcasts you admire, and what you never want to sound like. A property investing podcast and a health and wellness podcast get treated completely differently, because their listeners are different, and what keeps each of them watching isn't the same thing.

It's not just editing. Our approach starts with finding what your audience actually wants to hear, then structuring each episode around that. If you want us to go deeper on titles, thumbnails, topic planning, or full channel management, we can talk through that on the free audit call. If you just want the episodes handled, that works too.

We go through a recent episode with you, what's working, what's costing you retention, and 2 to 3 specific fixes we'd make. It's a real breakdown, not a pitch dressed up as one. You'll leave with something useful whether you work with us or not.
